Enhancing the Life Cycle of the Jack up Structure by Applying Alternative Foundation Methodologies in Geotechnical Engineering

A jack-up structure is a bottom-mounted floating unit having an adjustable hull and movable legs. Particular structures are more susceptible to hazards under environmental loads during their operation life cycle in the ocean. Authors' attempts here enhance its sustainability shallow deep waters by correctly accessing soil behaviour predicting load carrying capacity. Here numerical analysis of substructure has been attempted. Simulation load-deformation behavior axial compression carried out for advancing research. The entire study using three-dimensional finite element-based software Plaxis 3D A.E. 2017. geometrical variation spud can have inverted at centre bottom from 120 0 180 studied knowing compression, tension, lateral forces. simulated model used develop empirical expressions capacities estimation. results indicate that angle cone 130 most beneficial static combined vertical, moment, horizontal loading (3D loading) marine clay. follow same sequence ascending order ,175 , 150 highest .
